Overview

The London funding market is one of the most competitive in Europe, the recession and other local factors have increased both the level of competition and the demand for funding from all types of community, learning, charitable, social enterprise and non-profit making organisations.

This workshop will examine some of the more common funds that London based organisations can access – local, regional, UK wide and European - and provide guidance on the routes to access and how these funds can be utilised within your organisation.

Content

The aim of the workshop is to review a selection of the different types of public and charitable funds available to organisations engaged in community regeneration activities.

Through presentations and group discussion, the facilitator will illustrate how public and charitable funding works, which funds are typically accessable and for what purpose. Delegates will learn how to “best guess” the future objectives of the main funders of London based organisations.

The workshop will cover:

The key areas for London based organisations, wishing to access funding, including:

• Overview of key developments and regional, central and local government funding streams
• London Funders - how will the election affect funding for non-profit making organisations in London
• How has the recession affected funding in London - what are the new initiatives, developments and some predictions for the future
• Funding sources for  London based organisations - Grants, Trusts, Regeneration Funding, Employment Funding and Charitable Trusts
• European Funding - overviewing the Structural Funds and  other programmes and their relationship to London
• London Funding priorities - the targeting of external funding & how to access it
• Sources of information and support

Who Should Attend?

Project/Funding Managers from:  London based, non-profit making organisations, Housing Associations, other Housing Organisations,  HE & FE institutions, Universities, Officers in Local Authorities,  staff from Careers Service/Connexions, NHS Trusts, Voluntary and Charitable organisations and others with the responsibility for managing or developing training and development, employment, community or regeneration projects.

Booking & Confirmation

All reservations will be confirmed by email within two days of receipt of your completed booking form and payment in full and will include venue details and times.
